It was held at the 7,202-yard-long, 18-hole Chandigarh golf course.<\/p>\n<p>Canam Raptors won the Chandigarh Golf League by defeating Punjab Aces (4-3). The Third Place play off saw Netsmartz Tigers dominate Captain&#8217;s 18.<\/p>\n<p>The league started from September 21 onward and finished on October 31.<\/p>\n<div class=\"mt-3 d-inline-block\" style=\"vertical-align: top; width: 100%;\">\n<p><span class=\"image-outer-right\"><img loading=\"lazy\" class=\"alignleft\" src=\"https:\/\/www.citywoofer.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/10\/CGL--711x400.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"600\" height=\"380&quot;\" \/><\/span><\/p>\n<div class=\"\">\n<p><strong>What you should know<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>360 members participated<\/li>\n<li>20 teams participated<\/li>\n<li>Maximum 18 players in each team<\/li>\n<li>Played in the \u2018round-robin\u2019 format in the group stage, before the teams clash in the knock-out stage.<\/li>\n<li>10 players were picked by the owners of each team, with the remaining eight being picked from a pool during an auction<\/li>\n<li>Total prize money for winner team is Rs 20 lakh<\/li>\n<li>Each team comprises of young, mid age, seniors, superseniors, girls, ladies<\/li>\n<li>Each team has mentor and a coach<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<div class=\"mt-3 d-inline-block\" style=\"vertical-align: top; width: 100%;\">\n<p><span class=\"image-outer-left\"><img loading=\"lazy\" src=\"https:\/\/www.citywoofer.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/10\/cgl1-711x400.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"711\" height=\"400\" \/><\/span><\/p>\n<div class=\"\">\n<p><strong>Teams:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Canam Raptors<\/li>\n<li>Captain&#8217;s 18<\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 1rem;\">Chandigarh Gladiators<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 1rem;\">Chashma Shah Royals<\/span><\/li>\n<li>Empire<\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 1rem;\">Fairway Comets<\/span><\/li>\n<li>Golf Masters<\/li>\n<li>Green Gators<\/li>\n<li>Hunting Hawks<\/li>\n<li>Netsmartz Tigers<\/li>\n<li>Ninjas<\/li>\n<li>Partee Panthers<\/li>\n<li>Punjab Aces<\/li>\n<li>Signature by KLV<\/li>\n<li>Sleepy Owl Chargers<\/li>\n<li>Soaring Eagles<\/li>\n<li>Sultans of Swing<\/li>\n<li>Swinging Samurai<\/li>\n<li>Tee Birds<\/li>\n<li>The Mulligans<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<p>The teams were divided into three groups. Two groups have seven teams each, and one group has six teams. The teams in each group played each other once and after the round robin format, the top two teams from each group qualified for the quarterfinal stage. Each team played two singles matches and five doubles matches, with 12 players playing in one match.<\/p>\n<div class=\"d-inline-block\" style=\"vertical-align: top; width: 100%;\">\n<p><span class=\"image-outer-right\"><img loading=\"lazy\" class=\"alignleft\" src=\"https:\/\/www.citywoofer.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/10\/chahal.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"275\" height=\"183\" \/><\/span><\/p>\n<div class=\"\">\n<p>\u201cA mandatory condition was put in this time that every team will need to field a senior player above the age of 75 years and one lady golfer. We put this rule in to ensure maximum participation among the members,\u201d Lt Col HS Chahal (retd), president of Chandigarh Golf Club<\/p>\n<p><strong>Top three teams<\/strong> &#8212; Netsmartz Tigers, Captain\u2019s 18 and Canam Raptors scored big wins in the quarterfinals. Punjab Aces and Canam Raptors stormed into the final after upsetting top seeds NetMartz Tigers and Captain&#8217;s 18<\/p>\n<p>Punjab Aces and Canam Raptors were face to face in the final.
