A one-of-its-kind event aimed at promoting organic products was held at Tej Farm in Chandigarh\u2019s first experiential eco showcase.<\/p>\n<p>A family property since 1985, the owner of Tej Farm, Dr Amandeep Kahlon, and her entire family has invested in Nature-based endeavours. Her son Yashvir Singh Sandhu runs Countrysiders Agritech which is a foremost provider of protein-rich <em>Kadaknath<\/em> eggs from the farm.<\/p>\n<div class=\"blog-video\" style=\"text-align: center;\">\n<div style=\"width: 240px;\" class=\"wp-video\"><!--[if lt IE 9]><script>document.createElement('video');<\/script><![endif]-->\n<video class=\"wp-video-shortcode\" id=\"video-5128-1\" width=\"240\" height=\"424\" preload=\"metadata\" controls=\"controls\"><source type=\"video\/mp4\" src=\"https:\/\/www.citywoofer.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/11\/WhatsApp-Video-2022-11-14-at-10.48.40-AM-2.mp4?_=1\" \/><a href=\"https:\/\/www.citywoofer.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/11\/WhatsApp-Video-2022-11-14-at-10.48.40-AM-2.mp4\">https:\/\/www.citywoofer.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/11\/WhatsApp-Video-2022-11-14-at-10.48.40-AM-2.mp4<\/a><\/video><\/div>\n<\/div>\n<div class=\"d-inline-block\" style=\"vertical-align: top; width: 100%;\">\n<p><span class=\"image-outer-left\"><img loading=\"lazy\" class=\"alignleft\" src=\"https:\/\/www.citywoofer.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/11\/WhatsApp-Image-2022-11-14-at-10.48.41-AM-4-238x400.jpeg\" alt=\"\" width=\"238\" height=\"400\" \/><\/span><\/p>\n<div class=\"\">\n<p>After the lockdown , her daughter, Anahat Preet Sandhu started her non profit\u00a0 venture in 2021 called Unifawe Foundation and Eco Commune is a part of that initiative.\u201cWe started working together with like-minded people and met in natural surroundings, rather than\u00a0getting together in cafes and hotels or restaurants. Why not gather amidst Nature? So that\u2019s where\u00a0Eco Commune came about,\u201d shares Dr Amandeep.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cIt was a synergy waiting to happen. We had some space which has been in the family for some time, we are all fond of doing something which is Nature-based, and got allied with people who are also running\u00a0businesses or non-profits in the same spirit,\u201d she says,\u00a0 while talking about Eco commune.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<div class=\"d-inline-block\" style=\"vertical-align: top; width: 100%;\">\n<p><span class=\"image-outer-right\"><img loading=\"lazy\" class=\"alignleft\" src=\"https:\/\/www.citywoofer.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/11\/WhatsApp-Image-2022-11-14-at-10.48.40-AM-1-291x400.jpeg\" alt=\"\" width=\"291\" height=\"400\" \/><\/span><br \/>\n<strong>Eco Commune Sundays<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>A host of exciting workshops which aim at fostering an environment-friendly attitude towards daily living are held at Eco commune, not every Sunday, but only on Sundays whenever they happen.\u00a0 Mohit Gusain was the singer at the workshop creating a very lively atmosphere to the special Sunday.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Eco Commune Sunday on Nov 13\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 1rem;\">Philosopher, psychologist and author, <strong>Renu Thakur<\/strong>, who is a \u2018soul healer\u2019<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>offered a session on \u201caccessing the subconscious for self improvement and<\/p>\n<p>transformation\u201d.<\/p>\n<p>Another interesting session was held by <strong>Vatama Solutions<\/strong> which is a<\/p>\n<p>company dedicated to providing solutions for wet waste management across North India\u00a0for kitchen and garden waste.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<div class=\"d-inline-block\" style=\"vertical-align: top; width: 100%;\">\n<p><span class=\"image-outer-left\"><img loading=\"lazy\" class=\"alignleft\" src=\"https:\/\/www.citywoofer.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/11\/WhatsApp-Image-2022-11-14-at-10.48.41-AM-3-245x400.jpeg\" alt=\"\" width=\"238\" height=\"400\" \/><\/span><\/p>\n<div class=\"\">\n<p>&#8211; <strong>Bhawna Singh<\/strong>, founder of Chandigarh based \u2018Naturally Yours\u2019brought her natural flavours with South Indian delicacies like idli and<\/p>\n<p>sambhar at the event.<\/p>\n<p>&#8211; Chef <strong>Manav Suri<\/strong> from Sir Dough Bakehouse Cafe in Mohali whose sourdough croissants and sandwiches were a major attraction<\/p>\n<p>&#8211; The <strong>Nature Mill<\/strong>, a brand specializing in creating new age beauty and food products from\u00a0all purest ingredients, held a session on winter care with saffron which they source from Kashmir.<\/p>\n<p>&#8211; On gardening and plant care, there were two sessions to look out for.
