One such inspiring woman is Dr Harsimrat Kalsi, a Senior Consultant Physiotherapist, who moved to New Zealand in 2012 and worked as a Physiotherapist and Activities Coordinator at Eden Lifestyle Care, Oceania Living, City Auckland. For a decade now she has been renderin g her services in Chandigarh.<\/p>\n

She juggles her work between her 9-yr-old daughter as a single parent and her physiotherapy clinic, CityWoofer<\/em><\/strong><\/a>\u00a0caught up with her about her wonderful experience working in Tricity.<\/p>\n

Tell us about your life as a working mother?<\/strong><\/p>\n

Being a working mother is a very tough job. All the more, when one has to take care of a child being the sole guardian. I work hard to bring up and educate my daughter. A working mother has to perform multifarious duties like homemaker, cook, teacher and a good parent and she hardly has any time left for herself as she has to follow a set routine every day.<\/p>\n

What has your working experience in the Tricity been like?<\/strong><\/p>\n

The Tricity is a well-planned conglomerate. People here are well educated, cooperative and very well-behaved. They value the quality of service. This city has its own culture. Its systematic layout makes the navigation very simple. The city has excellent\u00a0 educational and medical facilities.<\/p>\n

Can you share a bit about your physiotherapy practice and the services you provide?<\/strong><\/p>\n

I treat patients sensitively in order to maximize their rehabilitation and understand issues which impact recovery. I offer both Domiciliary and OPD services at the clinic. My areas of expertise are cardiopulmonary physiotherapy, musculoskeletal physiotherapy, stroke management, sports injuries, geriatric care, antenatal and postnatal advisory.<\/p>\n

I support my patients through a program of rehabilitation to improve strength, help them move, decrease pain and make them independent. I am ready and qualified for the next stage in a successful career and looking forward to making significant contribution as a Physical Therapist.<\/p>\n
