The imposing scrap images have been created out of the recycled waste with a razor-sharp precision, which speaks volumes of the magical hands which created them.<\/p>\n<p>The entry gates to the park and benches placed in order there have been sculpted out of the recycled waste. Even the edges of plant and flower beds have been made out of the discarded bricks sourced from the Corporation\u2019s Construction and Demolition (C&amp;D) waste plant. A <strong>snakes and ladders board <\/strong>has been thrown up for the teeny-weeny tribe indulging in sheer fun-n-frolic.\u00a0 Swings and other fun games are there to keep them charged with excitement.<\/p>\n<div class=\"full-width-img py-3\" style=\"text-align: center;\"><img loading=\"lazy\" class=\"alignnone\" src=\"https:\/\/www.citywoofer.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/04\/WhatsApp-Image-2023-04-25-at-5.15.35-PM-300x400.jpeg\" alt=\"Wate to Wonder park Chandigarh\" width=\"300\" height=\"400\" \/><\/div>\n<p>An imposing 18-foot-tall sculpture of a <strong>Modulor Man<\/strong> by the master architect Le Corbusier himself, towards the rear of the sprawling park extends a warm welcome to the visiting guests. Another sculpture made of an outdoor <strong>metals lighting tower<\/strong>, which is flanked by a finely chiselled sculpture of the stone family among others, including some robotic images, dotting the park, leaving the visiting guests entranced.<\/p>\n<div class=\"full-width-img py-3\" style=\"text-align: center;\">\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" class=\"alignnone\" src=\"https:\/\/www.citywoofer.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/04\/WhatsApp-Image-2023-04-25-at-5.15.34-PM-300x400.jpeg\" alt=\"'Modulor Man' designed by Chandigarh architect\" width=\"300\" height=\"400\" \/><\/p>\n<div class=\"full-width-img py-3\" style=\"text-align: center;\">&#8216;Modulor Man&#8217; designed by Chandigarh architect Le Corbusier, reinstated with a little touch-up<\/div>\n<div class=\"full-width-img py-3\" style=\"text-align: left;\">This is what Municipal Commissioner Anindita Mitra has to tell <a href=\"https:\/\/www.citywoofer.com\/\"><strong>C<em>ityWoofer<\/em><\/strong><\/a>, \u201cThe park will not only help protect the environment, but will also serve as a recreational hub. The prominent takeaway for one and all is how to manage and transform the waste into a creative pursuit\u201d.<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<p>This spectacular landmark, the brain child of Chandigarh Municipal Corporation (CMC), was conceptualised on the idea of three Rs \u2013 reduce, recycle and reuse \u2013 the\u00a0 waste-to-wonder park was created under the innovative \u2018Garbage Free City Mission\u2019.<\/p>\n<div class=\"full-width-img py-3\" style=\"text-align: center;\"><img loading=\"lazy\" class=\"alignnone\" src=\"https:\/\/www.citywoofer.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/04\/WhatsApp-Image-2023-04-25-at-5.15.32-PM-1-300x400.jpeg\" alt=\"Waste-to-Wonder Park in Chandigarh\" width=\"300\" height=\"400\" \/><\/div>\n<p>\u201cThis is yet another path-breaking initiative of the CMC to give a fillip to the flagship <em>Swachhata<\/em> mission spearheaded by the central government,\u201d says the mayor.<\/p>\n<p>Offering suggestions to make it better, one of the visitors, Shivani, a Maths teacher at a leading Chandigarh school, says, \u201cIt feels good to be here offering a divine moment amid all-pervading serenity and solitude. The dispensation needs to focus on adding more greenery to the place exuding paradisiacal ambience.
