TEXTILE TALES BY REMA KUMAR AT NIRANGAL, KOTTAYAM

Textile Tales by Rema Kumar brings together a vibrant collection of handwoven and hand-blocked Saris, Dupattas, Kurtas, Crop tops, Tunics, Skirts and Unstitched Dress fabrics in her signature, mostly one-of-a-kind style. Some pieces are further detailed with Kalamkari, Kantha, Ari, appliqué, Dori work, or Lambani embroidery on Tussar silks, Kota, Uttara, Maheshwari, and Chanderi. We’re excited to launch the Dabu Prints from our Printed Narratives series at Nirangal,by Kasturba Social Welfare Centre and it feels like a beautiful coincidence that our Woven Fables series—Nirangal- a celebration of colour in handwoven tussar dupion from Chhattisgarh—also finds its home here, in Nirangal’s world of colour.
