A beautiful evening of confluence between Kuchipudi and Hindustani music by two phenomenal artists Yamini Reddy and Aditi Sharma Garg.
With this concert both artists will try to go beyond the traditional norms of their art forms and break linguistic barriers to create an ethereal evening of audio and visual beauty. Kuchipudi dance the classical dance form of Southern India is traditionally performed to Telugu or Sanskrit language set in the Southern Indian Carnatic system of music. But for the first time through this concert Yamini along with dhrupad vocalist and musicologist Aditi Sharma Garg will present an entire evening of dance completely woven into Hindustani music and Hindi language.
Both Yamini and Aditi are phenomenal next gen classical artists entrenched in the lineage of their respective art forms passed down to them as a legacy. They have been working closely for decades exchanging views and sharing ideas, their desire to go beyond boundaries and express their individuality will culminate into this performance aptly titled ‘Kuchipudi ka Shaam Hindustani ke Naam’. An entire evening of Kuchipudi dance dedicated to Hindustani.
