The Kaas Plateau where hundreds of varieties of wild flowers of all colors bloom every year is situated approx. 25 Km from Satara city. More than 300 varieties of wild flowers, herbs, orchids, shrubs, insectivorous plants etc. can be seen here after monsoon.
This plateau overlooks the lush evergreen forests that serves as a water catchment area of Koyna Dam and a Tiger reserve. It is a dream destination not only for avid botanists but also for those who appreciate nature. Kaas plateau and the surrounding area has a very good birdlife with good sightings of Crested Buntings, Malabar Crested Larks, Oriental White-eyes, and Bonelli’s Eagle
*Friday*
20:00 - Pickup from Andheri, JVLR, Mulund and Navi Mumbai in an AC bus.
*Saturday*
05:00 - Reach Satara. Have breakfast and tea
07:00 - Explore the Kaas plateau, Kaas lake etc.
10:30 - We will visit either Bhambavali (Vajrai) waterfall
13:00 - Lunch break
15:00 - Start traveling back to Mumbai
22:00 - Reach Andheri
