The Flagship Event of SMILE

SMILE Walkathon 2026 – “Walking for Dreams. Walking for Dignity.” is the flagship community initiative of SMILE – Society for Music, Innovative Literature & Entertainment, Chandigarh.

Scheduled for 2nd October 2026 (Gandhi Jayanti) at Capitol Complex, Sector 1, Chandigarh, the Walkathon brings together citizens across generations with a larger purpose—to promote fitness, healthy living, a drug-free society, social responsibility and dignity for senior citizens.

The event combines the Walkathon with health, wellness, fitness and cultural activities, creating a platform where individuals, institutions, corporates and community organisations can come together for a common cause.

With distinguished personalities, leading organisations, institutional partners and community supporters joining hands, SMILE Walkathon 2026 seeks to transform a simple walk into a meaningful movement—one walk, one cause, one better society.

Army Day Musical Tribute 2026

Successfully organised at Tagore Theatre, Chandigarh, on 15 January 2026 before a packed auditorium, paying tribute to the brave men and women of the Indian Armed Forces through a professionally curated musical extravaganza.

EMMBEE Shaurya Udaan Award

SMILE instituted the first-of-its-kind EMMBEE Shaurya Udaan Award, carrying a cash award of ₹50,000, to honour deserving youth from modest backgrounds who successfully clear the Services Selection Board (SSB) and join the Armed Forces.

World Art Day Painting Competition

It was organised to commemorate World Art Day with participation of more than 350 School Children from Chandigarh, Mohali and Panchkula, attracting over 600 attendees and promoting creativity among the youth.    

For SMILE Walkathon 2026, participant registration is a critical component of the event. After evaluating the registration process and interacting with the City Woofers team, SMILE decided to associate with them as the Participant Registration Partner.

• Scope for progressive updates – important as partners, venue details, event activities and other information continue to evolve.
• Participant experience – the objective is to provide a smooth journey from registration through confirmation and subsequent event-related communication.

Most importantly, City Woofers is being engaged with the objective of ensuring that the registration process remains simple, transparent, organised and dependable, allowing the SMILE organising team to focus on participant mobilisation and successful execution of the Walkathon.
