Exhibition of various kinds of mangoes. Competition for school students, Cultural Programmes, Crafts Bazar, Food Court and scintillating Evening Performances.

An annual event, the Mango Mela is organized in the month of  July, is a treat for the lovers of the king of fruits, mango.

Hundreds of varieties of mangoes from as far as Maharashtra, Bihar, Uttar Pradesh and also from Haryana, Himachal and Punjab arrive here, delighting everyone with their hybrid shapes and quality. A splash of festivities and colors of cultural extravaganza make this event far more popular.

Mango Mela attracts people from different spheres of life. Haryana Tourism has been organizing the annual Mango Mela at the historical Mughal Gardens at Pinjore since 1992. The Mango Mela is celebrated in collaboration with the Department of Horticulture, Haryana.

Attractions of Mango Mela

• Competition of commercial varieties

Prominent commercial mango varieties that will compete at the Mela include Dusheri, Langra, Chousa, Malda, Malika, Amrapali, Ratol and Ramkela (a pickle variety). The 1st, 2nd and 3rd prizes are distributed with shields, certificates, and cash prizes.

• Competition of mango products In this segment products like squash, juice, 'chutney', 'murabba', 'aam papad', pickle, jam pulp, etc. are included. Individual winners are given cash prize, shield and certificates and institute/universities/departments are given shield and certificates.

• Open to all competition In this category, mangoes are displayed and people are given prizes with the title of Hind Kesri, Aam Kesri and Haryana Kesri and awarded certificates and cash prizes. Generally, prizes of Hind Kesri and Aam Kesri are awarded to people from other parts of the country. Haryana Kesri is awarded to mango growers of Haryana.
