What is the Military Literature Festival?

The literature festival was started in 2017 as a partnership between the Punjab Government, Chandigarh Administration and the Indian Army’s Western Command by VP Singh Badnore and Capt Amarinder Singh, the then Governor and Chief Minister of Punjab respectively.

Over the years it has grown into a premier international gathering of military historians, thinkers, strategic analysts and writers to discuss and talk about warfare, history and intellectual pursuits.

The festival also spreads the festival’s message of physical fitness, sports, saying no to drugs, national security, paying homage to martyrs and giving direction to youth through a number of events like motorcycle rally, horse show, polo match, shotgun and archery competitions, golf tournament, etc.
